Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we are asked most often about process, pricing and technical requirements.
Process and Timing
For a bespoke wooden stand we recommend starting 8 to 10 weeks before the show. That gives design, revisions, production and installation a comfortable schedule. For modular or Maxima systems, three to four weeks can be enough. We can work to shorter deadlines, but design freedom narrows and rush costs come into play.
After the briefing, the first 3D concept presentation is usually ready in three to five working days. Allow a further two to four working days for revisions and approval. Once approved, production takes two to four weeks depending on the size of the stand.
Your stand is handed over at least one evening before the show opens, cleaned and ready for your products. The build is carried out by our own crew within the organiser's build-up window.
Pricing
A single per-square-metre figure would be misleading, because cost is driven as much by system choice, height, finish quality, lighting, furniture and technology as by area. For the same 50 m², a bespoke wooden build and a modular stand can differ several times over. Send us the show, your stand area and a rough budget range and we will give you a realistic bracket.
We itemise our quotes: design, production, printed graphics, lighting and electrics, flooring, furniture, freight, installation and dismantling each appear as a separate line. That way you can see what you are paying for and genuinely compare competing offers.
Our usual structure is a deposit on contract, an interim payment at the start of production and the balance before installation. The proportions are set out in the contract according to the size of the project.
Technical
A wooden stand is made entirely for you, in bespoke dimensions and forms, and gives the strongest brand presence. Modular stands (octanorm, Maxima and similar) use an aluminium structure, are reusable, go up faster and generally cost less. The right choice depends on your budget, how often you exhibit and the look you are aiming for.
We do, if you would like us to. That covers power orders, rigging applications, structural approval, build-up passes and health and safety documentation. Most of these deadlines fall three to four weeks before the show, and late applications are charged at a penalty rate.
Yes. For double-deck builds, structural calculations, engineer sign-off, escape stairs and balustrade heights are designed to the venue's own regulations. We recommend allowing two to three weeks more than a standard schedule for these projects.
Yes. Panels with recycled content, water-based paints, LED lighting and demountable joint details are part of our standard approach. By building a reusable frame with a changing graphic skin, we cut both waste and cost at subsequent shows.
Scope and Coverage
Yes. On international projects we handle design, production, freight, customs (ATA Carnet) and on-site installation. Structural approval and fire certification requirements under local regulations are factored into the design from the outset.
For reusable systems, yes. After dismantling, the frame and any reusable elements go into our store and are kept until your next show. We will look at whether storage is economic for you based on how often you exhibit.
No. Alongside exhibition stands we provide turnkey interior design and build for showrooms, retail spaces, corporate offices and product display areas.
